Heard Through the (Vintage) Grapevine About Our Retired Members

Vincent Sanzotti retired in 1997 after 32 years of teaching in the Butler School District. During his tenure at Butler High School, his duties included marching band, symphonic band, orchestra, jazz band and director of musicals, theory, and classroom music programs. In addition, Mr. Sanzotti founded and developed the Butler HS guitar and computer-assisted music production programs. Mr. Sanzotti hosted PWEA Western Region State Orchestra and PMEA Region I State Band festivals. The Tuesday Musical Club of Pittsburgh recognized Mr. Sanzotti, his wife Claudette, and their family as "Musical Family of the Year", and he was honored as an Outstanding Educator by the PMEA in 1990.
